The Corps of Engineer Service – Seva Vanitha Unit (CES-SVU) in coordination with the troops of the 16 CES recently conducted several humanitarian and community service projects on the instructions of the Chairperson CES-SVU.
Mrs. Deepika Prashanthi Chandrasena assumed duties as the new Hon President of Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch at a simple ceremony held at Corps of Engineer Services Regimental Headquarters following the relinquishment of duties by Dr. Mrs. Niroshani Ganegoda the former Hon President on 11 September 2021.
Under the guidance of the Hon. President of Seva Vanitha Branch - Corps of Engineer Services, the essential needs of the war heroes who receiving treatment at the Attidiya Mihindu Seth Medura were explored and it was informed that 40 table cloths and 80 handkerchiefs were required for the dining tables of the war heroes.
Under the guidance of the Seva Vanitha Branch - Corps of Engineer Services, the Engineering Services Training School provided lunch and gifts to the children in Nochchiyagama children orphanage with intellectual disabilities and then donated dry rations and other essential items to the institution.
Seva vanitha Branch Corps of Engineer Services provided tablets for 9 children of CES Officers and ORs who passed the GCE (O/L) Examination with 9 distinctions in the year 2019.
Following the quarantine procedures, the tablet was symbolically given to GDL Nethasa Sarathchandra, the daughter of the senior lady officer Major PLKP Alwis CES , by Dr Niroshani Ganegoda, The President of CES Seva Vanitha Branch on 12 Oct 2020 at CES Officers Mess
