Mrs. Sagara Gunawardana assumed duties as the new President of Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch on 04 Nov 2018 at a simple ceremony held at Corps of Engineer Services Regimental Headquarters. Thereafter the CES Seva Vantha Annual General Meeting was held under the patronage of new President.
A large number of staff members and members of CES Seva Vanitha Branch participated in this event.
Under the direction of Dr. Mrs. Indiral Pinnadoowa Rathnayake, the CES Seva Vanitha Branch provided financial assistance to 3 members of the Corps of Engineer Services during a function held at Regimental Headquarters of the Corps of Engineer Services on 05 October 2018.
Under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnaduwa Ratnayake the CES Seva Vanitha Branch gave away school Items for 110 School Children of the members of Corps of Engineer Services at Engineer Services Central Workshop on 23 September 2018. A large number of member of the CES Seva Vanitha Branch Participate in this event.
Under the instruction of Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnaduwa Ratnayake the CES Seva Vanitha Branch provided financial support to construct a fully furnished Bathroom for the elder child of Spr Bandra KYMWHMSK who is with special requirements and the new Bathroom was handed over on 16 May 2018.
Under the guidance of Dr. Mrs Indira Pinnadoowa Ratnayake the President CES Seva Vanitha Branch, the members of CES Seva Vanitha branch distributed gifts parcels to 50 pregnant mothers who participated in the Maternity Clinic at Elayapattuwa Government Hospital. The event was organized by the 9th Engineer Services Regiment with the generous support of a donor. Pirith was chanted by Maha Sanga to invoke blessing on Pregnant Mothers and lunch was also served to participants.
Under the instruction of Dr. Mrs Indira Pinnadoowa Ratnayake, the CES Seva Vanitha Branch provided financial support to construct a new house for L/Cpl Chandana HK of 8th Engineer Services Regiment whose house has been damaged due to Uma Oya Project.
Under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnadoowa Ratnayake, the CES Seva Vanitha Branch offered a financial donation of Rs. 200,000.00 to the 23 years old brother of Spr Rajapaksha RUKS of 12th Engineer Services Regiment who suffers from a Chronic Kidney Disease in order to undergo a Kidney Transplant Surgery.
Under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnadoowa Ratnayake the President of CES Seva Vanitha Branch an Eye Clinic was conducted with the support and assistance of Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society on 11 August 2018 at the 15 Engineer Services Regiment(Vol) in Polonnaruwa to examine the eye sight of Officers, Other Ranks and Family members of the Unit. During the Eye Clinic, 252 persons were offered spectacles free of charge.
Under the coordination of the Directorate of Information Technology and the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Branch an awareness programme on using Social Media Networks was conducted for the members of Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch by the 12th Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 04 August 2018 at the CES Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.
The lecture was conducted by Maj WN Liyanapathirana SLSC, Staff Officer II of 12th Sri Lanka Signal Corps. Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnadoowa Ratnayake, the President of Seva Vanitha Branch and a large number of members participated in this event.
