Under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnadoowa Ratnayake, the CES Seva Vanitha Branch offered a financial donation of Rs. 200,000.00 to the 23 years old brother of Spr Rajapaksha RUKS of 12th Engineer Services Regiment who suffers from a Chronic Kidney Disease in order to undergo a Kidney Transplant Surgery.
Under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnadoowa Ratnayake the President of CES Seva Vanitha Branch an Eye Clinic was conducted with the support and assistance of Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society on 11 August 2018 at the 15 Engineer Services Regiment(Vol) in Polonnaruwa to examine the eye sight of Officers, Other Ranks and Family members of the Unit. During the Eye Clinic, 252 persons were offered spectacles free of charge.
Under the coordination of the Directorate of Information Technology and the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha Branch an awareness programme on using Social Media Networks was conducted for the members of Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch by the 12th Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 04 August 2018 at the CES Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.
The lecture was conducted by Maj WN Liyanapathirana SLSC, Staff Officer II of 12th Sri Lanka Signal Corps. Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnadoowa Ratnayake, the President of Seva Vanitha Branch and a large number of members participated in this event.
Under the guidance of the president of CES Seva Vanitha Branch, the Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch provided financial assistance to renovate the house of late Spr Thirimanne KP of the 8th Engineer Services Regiment. The troops of 8th Engineer Services Regiment carried out renovations of the house by plastering and finishing the walls of his house at an expense of Rs. 123000/- and the renovated house was handed over to the family of late Spr Thirimanna KP by Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnadoowa Ratnayake, the President of CES Seva Vanitha Branch, on 01 August 2018.
Under the direction of Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnadoowa Ratnayake, the President of Seva Vanitha Branch, a Medical diganostics Clinic was conducted by the Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch for the troops of 12th Engineer Services Regiment and their family Members.
Dr. Mrs. Niroshani Ambepitiya, the vice president of CES Seva Vanitha Branch and members participated in this Event.
Under the instruction of Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnadoowa Ratnayake the President of Seva Vanitha Branch, the CES Seva Vanitha Branch provided financial support to construct a fully furnished bathroom to suit the requirements of bedridden war hero, Cpl Liyanage LP of 20th Sri Lanka Light Infantry who has been undergoing treatments at Ranaviru Sevana Hospital, Ragama. The bathroom was constructed by the troops of 14 Engineer Services Regiment at a cost of Rs. 186,000.00 and handed over to Cpl Liyanage LC on 28 July 2018 by the President of CES Seva Vanitha Branch.
Under the instructions of Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnaduwa Ratnayake, the President CES Seva Vanitha Branch, a fully furnished Bathroom was constructed by the troops of 3 ESR for differently able Spr Rajapaksha RSR of 6 ESR(V). The financial contribution was mede by the CES Seva Vanitha Fund. The Bathroom was handed over to Spr Rajapaksha RSR on 11 March 2018 by the President CES Seva Vanitha Branch in parallel to the Unit day Celebration of 3 ESR.
In the event of annual Hospital Visit organized by the CES Seva Vanitha Branch , Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnaduwa Ratnayake the President of CES Seva Vanitha Branch and the Members visited the Ward No 06 of Mulleriyawa Mental Hospital on 07 March 2018.
The President and the members looked in to the well-being of the inmates and donated Stationeries, Kitchen Utensils and Dry Ration to the inmates and Paints to colour wash the building.
Under the direction of Dr. Mrs. Indira Pinnaduwa Ratnayake, the president CES Seva Vanitha Branch, a fully furnished Bathroom was constructed by CES troops for Coporal Malshan of 6th Gamunu Watch who lost both his legs during an operation in Pudukuduirippu area in 2009. The financial contribution was made by the CES Seva Vanitha Fund.The bathroom was handed over to Cpl Malshan HPAT on 21 Feb 2018 at his home in Matara by the President CES Seva Vanitha Branch.
