Under the visionary leadership and guidance of the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Engineer Services, Mrs Aruni Chandrasekara, this programme was successfully held on 16 February 2026 at the Regimental Centre, Corps of Engineer Services.
A virtual meeting was successfully conducted via Google Meeting under the leadership of the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Engineer Services, Mrs Aruni Chandrasekara, on 13 February 2026 with the participation of spouses of Commanding Officers from all CES units.
Mrs. Aruni Chandrasekara formally assumed duties as the 17th President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of Corps of Engineer Service (CES SVB) on 19th January 2026 at the Regimental Headquarters, during a dignified ceremonial event. Before being appointed as President, she faithfully carried out her duties as Treasurer, Secretary and Vice President of CES SVB demonstrating commitment and leadership.
Mrs. Anupama Rathnayaka, the Honourable President of the Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch, formally handed over the duties of presidency on 17th January 2026.
The Corps of Engineer Services (CES) Seva Vanitha Branch conducted a distribution program of essential baby care equipment for expecting wives of soldiers, with the objective of supporting the families of serving personnel.
In line with Seva Vanitha Programme, 5th Engineer Services Regiment organized blood donation campaign on 23rd December 2025.The campaign was conducted under the supervision and guidance of overlooking commanding Officer Maj BHD Sandaruwan Lsc CES with the assistant of the staff of Kilinochchi and Mulativu hospitals. All the Officers and soldiers showed their interest on donating blood and it demonstrate their commitment to lifesaver activities.
In line with the 35th Anniversary celebrations of the Engineer Services Trade School, a Seva Vanitha welfare programme was conducted on 03rd December 2025 at the ESTS premises.
The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Engineer Services extended a helping hand to the family of Sapper Jeewan Kumara DGM of the 1 Engineer Services Regiment, whose baby is suffering from a non-curable genetic condition.
In a heartfelt act of compassion, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES) donated a wheelchair to the mother of a serving soldier who has been paralyzed and bedridden.
The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Engineer Services organized a compassionate visit to Sucharithodaya Children’s Home, Maharagama on Saturday, 11 October 2025, in celebration of ‘World Children’s Day’.
