BLOOD DONATION PROGRAMME ORGANIZED BY THE 56 INFANTRY DIVISION

Under the guidance of Major General K N D Karunapala RSP ndu the General Officer Commanding, organized a blood donation programme on 02 April 2025 at the Division Headquarter premises, with the support of the Blood Bank at Vavuniya Base Hospital.

Total no of 159 donors participated in the event, including all ranks from HQ 56 Infantry Division, 561, 562, and 563 Infantry Brigades, as well as under-command battalions.

This initiative made a valuable contribution to saving lives by supporting the medical needs of the Blood Bank at Vavuniya Base Hospital.
