THE 21ST AND 56TH INFANTRY DIVISIONS ARE CONDUCTING SCHOOL CLEANING PROGRAMS IN THEIR AREAS.

Under the guidance of Major General W.W.M.P.W.W.B.R. Palamakumbura RWP RSP General Officer Commandig, 21 Infantry Division and Brigade Commanders of 212 and 561 Infantry Brigades and their subordinate units jointly initiated a cleaning program in 9 schools in the area under the first phase in line with the “Clean Sri Lanka” program.

Accordingly, 10x180 officers and other ranks of the 7 (V) Armed Forces and the 4th Sri Lanka National Guard under the 212 Infantry Brigade cleaned Galkiriyagama Central College, Ganebidunuwewa Primary Model School, Budugehinna School, Eppawala Sumangala Maha Viddiyalaya and Kele Divulwewa School. Over 100 parents joined in this effort.

Furthermore, the 9 Gajaba Regiment and the 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment cleaned the Welioya Kalyanipura Maha Vidyalaya, Nedunkeni Maha Vidyalaya, and Olumadu Tamil Maha Vidyalaya. About 50 army personnel and about 60 parents participated in this event.
