59 INFANTRY DIVISION ORGANIZED ARTIFICIAL LIMBS DONATION PROGRAMME

Under the direction of Major General J PC Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander Security Forces (Wanni) and with the guidance of Major General D R N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of 59 Infantry Division incollaboration with Australian High Commission and Centre for Handicapped, organized artificial limbs donation programme for civilians of Mullaitivu area at 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment Headquarter premises on 18 December 2024.

Further, 23 disabled people were provided with artificial limbs after meticulously scrutinizing their health condition. Brigadier M J Ubeysekara RSP psc, Commander 591 Infantry Brigade, Colonel General Staff of Security Force (Wanni), Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and Civilians of Mullaitivu area participated for the event.
