TROOPS OF 2ND BATTALION VIJAYABAHU INFANTRY REGIMENT CLEARED THE FALLEN BO TREE

Due to heavy rain and strong winds, a Bo tree at the Thulana Sri Bhodirajaramaya in Rambewa Divisional secretariat has fallen down causing damage to abuilding of the temple. Divisional secretariat Rambewa requested military assistance to remove the fallen tree from the temple premises.

With the direction of Commander Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), under the instructions of the General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division and closed supervision of Commander 213 Infantry Brigade, the Commanding Officer 2 (V) Vijyabahu Infantry Regiment with troops and villagers removed the fallen Bo tree from the temple premise on 17 December 2024.
