Due to prevailing adverse weather conditions, Mahanochchikulam Lake bund at Galkulama was slightly damaged. The bund was temporally re-constructed by using sand bags and provided immediate assistance troops of 4 Sri Lanka National Gourd under the close supervision of Brigadier B A P M Balasooriya RSP Commander 212 Infantry Brigade with the direction given by Major General W M S C K Wanasinghe RSP USP General Officer Commanding of 21 Infantry Division on 19 January 2025.
