IN LINE WITH CLEAN SRILANKA PROJECT, 542 INFANTRY BRIGADE ORGANIZED THE CULTURAL DANCE COMPETITION AMONG THE SCHOOLS IN MANNAR DISTRICT

With the Concept ofGeneral Officer Commanding 54 infantry division, 542 infantry Brigade organized a cultural Dance Competition to enhance the ethnic and Social component line with theClean Sri Lanka project at the Mannar town hall on 08.03.2025 from 1400 hrs to 1730 hrs in collaboration with district secretary,Divisional secretary,Education Office with school .

The theme of event is “Values of Tamil Culture Dance”, We believe that this great exercise, help in developing harmony between different races and religions, sharpening the skills and Competency of school children and developing friendships among them and families,it was help to build up trust and harmony between Army and Mannar Community.

Fourteen schoolsteams' competitors of the zonal education office Madhu and Mannar participated in the Competition. Divisional Secretary, Nanattan- Mrs. Ambige Shiwasambu, Directors of the Education Office Mannar and Madhu,Public Relations Officers participated for the event.

The direction and instruction of General Officer Commanding 54 Infantry Division, Major General A M C PWijayaratne RWP RSP nps psc and event was organized under the close supervision of Commander 542 Brigade, Brigadier A K W CAsurasingha RWP RSP USP and the event was coordinated by Civil Affairs Officer 542 Infantry Brigade, Major M .V. Fernando. 4thGajaba infantry Regimentand 8 Vijayabahu Infantry Regi.
