Under the guidance of 212 Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier B A M P Balasuriya RSP, a welfare programme was conducted on 14 July 2025 to donate school items to 21 children of Maminiyawa Primary School, Kekirawa. The event was held with the participation of the Civil Affairs Officer of the 212 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer 7 (V) Sri Lanka Armoured Corps.
This programme was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Rural Development and Social Security, the Samurdhi Sports Club, and the Jīvanopāya Athwela Foundation. Financial contributions for the event were made by Mr. Tharanga Kaldera, a member of the Sports Club, in celebration of his 33rd birthday, as well as by Mrs. Priyanthi Manel, another member of the Sports Club, and Mr. Malin R. Samarawira, the Secretary of the Sports Club and Chairman of the Jīvanopāya Athwela Foundation.
