BRIGADE COMMANDER OF 591 INFANTRY BRIGADE TAKES OVER DUTIES

Colonel M S I Aluvihare RWP RSP of the Commando Regiment assumed duties as the 11th Brigade commander of the 591 Infantry Brigade on 16 January 2025.

Upon arrival, the newly appointed Brigade Commander was accorded a guard turnout, presented by the troops of the 10 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.

In his new office, the brigade commander symbolically signed an official document to mark the assumption of his duties amidst the chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ by the Maha Sangha. Later, the Brigade Commander planted a mango sapling.

Thereafter, the newly appointed Brigade Commander addressed the troops, highlighting his vision for the Brigade's future, personal values, comradeship, and the importance of maintaining a high level of discipline among officers and other ranks.

Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks were participated for the event.
