Basic Lifesaving Course No. 25 Successfully Concluded at 21 Infantry Division

The Basic Swimming and Lifesaving Course No. 25, spanning 30 working days, was successfully concluded on 12 September 2025 at the 21 Infantry Division swimming pool. A total of 19 Other Ranks from various units under the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Area of Responsibility participated in the programme.

The certificate awarding ceremony was graced by Major General M.W.A.R.C. Wijesuriya RSP USP ndc, General Officer Commanding of the 21 Infantry Division, as the Chief Guest.

S/655078 Pte Madushan NPS of 3 SLAMC was adjudged the Best Student of the course. To mark the occasion, students conducted a swimming display along with several water-based activities, adding elegance to the event.

A noteworthy highlight of the course was the awarding of three additional certificates – International Lifesaving, Water Safety, and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – by the Sri Lanka National Life Saving Association.
