BASIC LIFE SAVING COURSE NO. 26 SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED AT 21 INFANTRY DIVISION

Basic Swimming and Life Saving course No 26 was successfully concluded on 24 December 2025 at the 21 Infantry Division swimming pool complex covering 30 working days with the participation of 27 other ranks from 21, 54, 56, 59 divisions under SFHQ (W).

Major General T N K Perera, the General Officer Commanding of 21 Infantry Division grace the certificate awarding ceremony as the chief guest. S/H103625 Pte Mihiranga G H K P - 2 (V) VIR was awarded as the best student of the course. A Swimming display and various swimming activities were conducted by the students of the course and the diving session was conducted by the Commando Diving Team (3CR). In addition, a swimming event performed by children under the age of twelve to elegance the event.

As a special moment of this course was, awarding of three certificates for Water Safety, International Life Saving and Cardio - Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by Sri Lanka National Life Saving Association.
