ANGAMPORA TRAINING PROGRAMME STAGE II CONDUCTED SUCCESSFULLY BY 59 INFANTRY DIVISION

The concept and guidance of Major General D.R.N. Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, Commander 59 Infantry Division, 593 Infantry Brigade successfully organized an Angampora training program stage II at the 6th Battalion of the Gemunu Watch. The program will be held from 15 February 2025 to 28 February 2025, with the participation of 90 dedicated soldiers From under command Battalion of 59 Infantry Division. The inaugural ceremony was held under the patronage of the Commander 59 Infantry Division. Senior officers of the 59 Infantry Division, Brigade Commanders of the 591, 592 and 593 Infantry Brigades and Battalion Commanders under the Division also participated in the event.

Furthermore, the 59 Infantry Division had invited the Deputy Inspector General Of police (wanni) S D Wijesekara, Divisional Secretary of Pudukkuduirippu, Mr. Vijaya Kumar, the Director of the District General Hospital, Mr. M. Vasudeva, the Chief Medical Officer of the Mungilaru Hospital, Mrs. Samiraa, the Head of the Disaster Management Center, Mr. Gokul Rai, the Deputy Secretary of the Pradeshiya Sabha, Mr. P. Kamleshan, the Assistant Manager of the Engineering Institute, Mr. S. Francis, the Agricultural Advisor of the Department of Agriculture, Mr. Kumarasingham Niroshan, senior officers of the Navy, Air Force, the Sri Lanka Police Department, and dignitaries in the 59 Division area participated to this event.

This intensive training program is being conducted with the collective efforts and expertise of 10 skilled instructors of the Army Angampora team.
