59 Infantry Division Bids Farewell to Major General DRN Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP

The 59 Infantry Division ceremonially bade farewell to its outgoing General Officer Commanding, Major General D R N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, on 20 October 2025, marking the conclusion of his exemplary and dedicated tenure with the Division.

The day’s proceedings commenced with a Guard of Honour presented by the troops of the Division, followed by a series of ceremonial events held to express the profound respect and heartfelt gratitude of all ranks for the outstanding leadership, guidance, and commitment demonstrated by the outgoing General Officer Commanding throughout his service.
