23rd Anniversary of Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) was scheduled to be held on 6th June 2020. Earlier this has been postponed due to the pandemic situation (COVID 19), later on the 23rd Anniversary celebrations were commenced with the religious blessings on 21st August 2020, subsequently ceremonial formalities of Guard Turnout and Ceremonial Parade were accorded to the Commanding Officer of SIU Col AMR Abesinghe on 24th August 2020 and further day’s proceedings were followed by Troops address and all Ranks tea.

Newly constructed Armoury of the Headquarters 7th Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (7 SLCMP) was Declared Open by the Commanding Officer Maj S P Kasthuriarachchi on 24th July 2020 at Manikkanda - Diyathalawa. The construction was done mostly with locally arranged resources and with the commitment of all Officers and Other Ranks of 7 SLCMP
