A special social service program was held at Mulleriyawa hospital on 25 January 2020 under the guidance of the president of the Seva Vanitha branch Mrs Ramani Dematanpitiya .The president of Seva Vanitha Branch SLAWC visited to the ward no 05 and donated gift hampers for selected 40 females psychological patients at the hospital.

A series of events were held to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of 1st battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) under the guidance and supervision of the Major G S Rankotge, Commanding Officer – 1 SLAWC. The programme was commenced with a guard turnout and a guard of honour to the Commanding Officer followed by all rank tea party, a programme paying tribute to parents, an alms giving and an all rank lunch. Further , the trip to Jaffna organized by 1st battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps with the collaboration of 7th battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps fostered the inter unit cordiality.
