On 04 February 2026 at 1100 hrs, 00 x 10 troops of 14 SLSR commenced a community effort at the Vishmipre school Sengamuwa together with the villages to provide voluntary labor to clean the pre school premises and reconstruct the safety fence. This effort concluded at 1700 hrs without any incidents.
This program was conducted under the instructions and guidance of the Commander, Security Forces - East, under the guidance of senior officers, Maj Gen WMNKD Bandara RWP RSP USP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding, 24 Infantry Division, Col K.G.A.T. Kelakorale RSP., Brigade Commander, 242 Infantry Brigade, and under the full supervision of Lt Col UMP Udukumara, CAO, 242 Infantry Brigade, Major GHTP Fonseka CO 14 SLSR.
