With the objective of fostering cordial relations and promoting harmonious coexistence between the Sri Lanka Army and the civilian community, the 4th Battalion Gemunu Watch conducted a cleaning programme at the PullaiyarKovil in GramaNiladhari Division 184/A Unnachchiya, within the Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat area, on 31 January 2026.
The programme was carried out from 0830 hrs to 1300 hrs, with the participation of 1x10 troops and the active involvement of local residents. Such initiatives for the benefit of the Tamil community were highly appreciated by the local populace, further strengthening civil–military relations in the area.
