In line with the 78th National Independence Day celebrations and the Clean SRI LANKA programme, the 7th Light Regiment of the Sri Lanka Artillery conducted a community cleaning programme on 31 January 2026 as part of the island-wide social service initiatives undertaken by the Tri-Services.
During the programme, 04 groups of 25 troops each participated in the collection of non-biodegradable waste, including plastic and polythene, from both sides of the Minneriya Tank bund embankment and along the road adjacent to the Minneriya Shrine.
The programme underscored the Regiment’s continued commitment to environmental protection and its responsibility towards national development and community welfare.
