DISTRIBUTION OF DRY-RATION PACKETS TO 150 FAMILIES AFFECTED BY THE FLOOD

Under the guidance of the Commander, SF(E), and the Commander, 23 Division, and in accordance with the directions of the Commander, 232 Infantry Brigade, and the Commanding Officer of the 12th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard, a dry-ration distribution programme was conducted under the full supervision of the Second-in-Command of the 12th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard.

Due to the recent adverse weather conditions experienced across the island, several households in the Kudumbimalai area were affected by flooding. Accordingly, on 7 December 2025 at 1200 hours, a dry-ration distribution programme sponsored by the Rama Krishna Foundation was carried out at Kumaran Vidyalaya, Kudumbimalai, for 150 affected families residing in the Kudumbimalai village under the Kudumbimalai Grama Niladhari Division. A total of 1 x 04 troops from the unit participated in the event.
