COMMENCEMENT OF DRY RATION TRANSPORT PROGRAMME FOR FLOOD-AFFECTED AREAS WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF 243 INFANTRY BRIGADE

The Federation of Kattankudy Muslim Mosques and Muslim Institutions with the guidance of General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division Maj Gen KW Jayaweera USP psc and the support of the Commander 243 Infantry Brigade Brigadier KMUP Kalupahana USP psccommenced the transport of 4,500 dry ration packets valued at approximately Rs. 32.5 million to flood-affected families in Kandy, Gampola, Polonnaruwa and Badulla. The programme began on 04 December 2025 at 0800 hrs at the KattankudyHizbullah Hall. The Commander of the 243 Infantry Brigade Brigadier KMUP Kalupahana USP psc along with 03 × 05 troops participated in the event.
