TROOPS OF THE 15TH SRI LANKA INFANTRY REGIMENT, UNDER THE 22ND INFANTRY DIVISION, HAVE BEEN ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN RELIEF OPERATIONS FOR DISASTERS CAUSED BY ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS.

The Security Forces – East, under the command of the 22nd Infantry Division, have been engaged in clearing fallen trees on main roads and responding to other disaster situations caused by the heavy rains affecting the country. On 28 and 29 November.2025

Under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding, 22nd Infantry Division, Major General HDLS Lalith Perera RWP RSP ndc, the trops of the 15th Sri Lanka Infantry Regiment have actively participated in removing fallen trees on main roads and addressing other disaster-related situations.

Accordingly, the troops of the 15th Sri Lanka Infantry Regiment made significant efforts to bring the disaster situation under control and to restore normalcy for the benefit of the local population.
