On the instruction of the General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division and the Commander, 221 Infantry Brigade, members of the 20th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment completed the construction of the newly constructed "SAMADHI" meditation hall for the dwelling monks of the Thiriyaya Girihaduseya Rajamaha Viharaya.
This religious program was conducted under the guidance of the Venerable Devinuwara Chandima Viharadhikari thero and under the supervision and direction of the Commanding Officer of the 20th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment, The entire construction work of the meditation hall was carried out with the labour contribution of 20th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment.
Furthermore, the Viharadhikari thero has planned to open the meditation hall and offer it for the use of the monks on 19th October 2025, in conjunction with the Katina Pinkama. The full labour contribution of the unit Officer/ORs were provided to complete the work of meditation hall.
