On the instruction of the General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division and the Commander, 221 Infantry Brigade, members of the 20th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment Contributed to the Katina Maha Pinkama at Pulmoddai Shanthi Viharaya on 10th and 11th October 2025.
This programme was carried out under the guidance of the Incumbent of Panamure Shantha wansa Viharadhikari thero and under the supervision and direction of the Commanding Officer of the 20th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment, The programme was sponsored by Miss Geethani Dammika and Doners who reside in Colombo area.
The programme began with Atavisi Buddha Perahera and Pirith Chanting on 10th October, followed by a ceremonial procession on 11th October where the Katina Cheevaraya was offered to the Maha Sangha. The event also included the Heel Daana and Dahawal Daana with Atapirikara to 30 monks. 00x08 troops from the 20th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment and approximately 100 Local community participated in the event.
