Under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, and under the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, the 9th Battalion of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, deployed under the 222 Infantry Brigade, conducted a school items and library books donation programme.
The event was held on 24 June 2025 at Kanthale Gamini Primary School in Sirimangalapura as part of ongoing civil–military cooperation initiatives. The programme was aimed at providing support to students from low-income families and was sponsored by Mrs. Bagya Veerasinghe and Mr. Raguaran Jayachandran.
The occasion was graced by the Brigade Commander, 222 Infantry Brigade, senior officers, other ranks, school staff, and local civilians.
