THE GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF THE 23 INFANTRY DIVISION HAS RESIGNED FROM HIS APPONITMENT.

23 Infantry Division bid farewell to the outgoing General Officer Commanding, Major General P S Subath Sanjeewa RSP nps psc, in a formal ceremony held on Tuesday, 21June 2025, at the Headquarters of the 23 Infantry Division.

The event commenced with a Guard Turnout presented by troops of the 7thBattalion the Gamunu Watch at the entrance, followed by a Guard of Honour in recognition of Major General Subath Sanjeewa’s distinguished service.

To commemorate the occasion, the outgoing General Officer Commanding participated in a group photograph, troops address and engaged in informal interactions during an All-Ranks Tea.

The farewell proceedings continued on Wednesday, 22 June 2025, when Officers and Other Ranks of the 23 Infantry Division formed a street line, extending their heartfelt gratitude and best wishes to Major General P S Subath Sanjeewa RSP nps psc as he departed.
