Under the guidance of the Commander Security Forces (East), Major General P. R. Pathiravithana, USAWC, psc, and the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding the 23 Infantry Division, the 4th Battalion of the Gamunu Watch, deployed under the 232 Infantry Brigade, laid the foundation stone for a house for a low-income family.
This initiative is part of ongoing civil-military coordination efforts, with generous funding provided by the CERI NGO.
The foundation stone-laying ceremony took place on 15 May 2025 in Kommathurai, Chenkalady.
The event was attended by the Commanding Officer of the 4 Gamunu Watch, the Civil Affairs Officer of the 232 Infantry Brigade, senior and junior officers, other ranks, the Coordinating Officer of CERI NGO, and the Grama Niladhari of Eravur Pattu.
