COMMUNITY WELFARE PROGRAM CONDUCTED BY THE 12TH SRI LANKA NATIONAL GUARD

Under the guidance of the Commander Security Forces (East), Major General P. R. Pathiravithana, USAWC psc, and the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding of the 23 Infantry Division, the 12th Sri Lanka National Guard, deployed under the 232 Infantry Brigade, successfully organized a community welfare program on 21 April 2025 at BT/KK Periyawadduwan Kannagi Primary School.

With financial support from Project Manager Edward and Cristy Company, the program included the distribution of school items to the children. At the same time, the Commander of the 232 Infantry Brigade inaugurated the newly installed name board of the school's water supply system.

Following this, lunch was provided to the children and staff of the school, which falls within the area of responsibility of the battalion.

To ensure the success of this welfare initiative, the Brigade Commander of the 232 Infantry Brigade, Commanding Officer of the 12th Sri Lanka National Guard, senior officers, officers, other ranks, donors, and the Divisional Secretary of Koralepattu South participated in the event.
