Under the guidance of Major General Major General P. R. Pathiravithana USAWC PSC, Commander, Security Forces (East), 23 Infantry Division conducted the MINI EASTERN SENTINEL 2025 Seminar at the 23 Infantry Division Headquarters Officers' Quarters on 03 April 2025 under the theme of Enhancing the Professionalism of the Sri Lanka Army and its Contribution to National Development. The General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, Major General P. S. Subhat Sanjeewa RSP NPS PSC, Senior Officer, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The seminar aimed to enhance the knowledge of officers on strengthening military professionalism for the operational success of the Sri Lanka Army and to highlight the role of the Army in national development, strategic growth, challenges and recommendations for effective contribution.
The conference was structured into three sessions, the first session comprising a welcome address and a keynote address. In the second session, two speakers made presentations on topics such as strengthening military professionalism for operational excellence, and the role of the military in national development and strategic growth. The final session consisted of a question and answer session followed by a vote of thanks, which concluded the conference.
