The troops of Security Forces Headquarters - East arranged a formal ceremony to bid farewell to the outgoing Commander of Security Forces - East, Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP psc, on 06 January 2025 at Security Forces Headquarters East.
The farewell proceedings included Guard turnout ,office formalities, a group photograph, and address to the troops and an all-rank tea party.
During his tenure as Commander, of Security Forces (East), he initiated numerous operational and non-operational ventures to ensure security and social welfare within the Eastern region. Under his conceptual guidance, the troops under his command implemented many community-oriented welfare projects.
Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP psc an officer and a gentleman, fostered a comfortable working environment for all troops under his command. He remained humble and attentive to the needs of his team.
The Commander of the Forward Maintenance Area (East), Senior Staff Officers, , Commanding Officers, Officers, and troops gathered to honor the retiring senior officer and bid him farewell .
