22 Infantry Division Bids Farewell to Outgoing GOC

Troops of the 22 Infantry Division organized a formal ceremony to bid farewell to the outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 22 Infantry Division, Major General P.A.M. Peiris RSP USP psc, on 11 September 2024 at the Division Headquarters.

Upon his arrival, the Senior Officer was accorded a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour. He officially marked the end of his tenure by signing the official handing-over document at the office premises.

Then, the outgoing GOC was invited to pose for a group photograph. The day's formalities concluded with an All-Ranks tea. A commemorative gift was presented to him as a gesture of appreciation for his service.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and civil employees of the 22 Infantry Division participated in the event.
