9 VIR Constructs a New House for a Needy Family

According to a concept by Venerable Aludeniye Subhodi Thero, the Chief Incumbent of Seruwila Mangala Rajamaha Viharaya, troops of the 9 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) constructed a new house for a needy family in Nelumgama, Seruwila.

The new house was vested in the beneficiary on 21 August 2024, under the guidance of Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc, Commander of the 22 Infantry Division.The construction was sponsored by the Audai Shakoor Foundation of California, USA, and Dr. Puja Shakoor. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, family members, and relatives participated in the event.
