CERTIFICATE AWARDING CEREMONY FOR SINHALA LANGUAGE COURSE HELD IN KOKKADICHOLAI

Under the concept and guidance of the Commander of the Security Forces (East), the Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the Sinhala Language Course organized by the Security Force Headquarters (East) was held on 03 August 2024 at the Kokkadicholai Cultural Center. The program began on 06 January 2024 with the aim of developing the abilities of Tamil students by improving their Sinhala language skills. 115 students from Ramakrishna Vidyalaya and Mudalikuda Maha Vidyalaya, Batticaloa, participated in the course.

The course facilitated communication among Tamil students using the Sinhala language, fostering camaraderie and mutual understanding. The event provided an opportunity for students to showcase their language skills, which received praise for their rapid improvement.

Major General S.A Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, the Commander of Security Forces (East), graced the event as the chief guest and addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of understanding each other's languages to enhance harmony. He encouraged the students to further develop their language skills and emphasized the Sri Lanka Army's commitment to promote peace and harmony in the region.

Reverend Ebenezer Joseph, Archbishop of the Methodist Church, the Kokkadicholai Division Director of Education, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the event.
