TROOPS OF THE 24 INFANTRY DIVISION CONDUCTED A CLEANING PROGRAMME AT BHUDDANGALA TEMPLE

In a move to ensure a clean and sacred environment for devotees and pilgrims, a thorough cleaning program was conducted at the revered Buddhangala Temple prior to the upcoming Poson Poya celebrations. The initiative was undertaken under the instructions of the General Officer Commanding the 24 Infantry Division, Major General WLAC Perera RWP RSP USP. The cleaning programme which took place on 19 June 2024, aimed to remove any debris and dirt that may have accumulated at the temple complex. A team of 1 x 30 troops from the 24 Infantry Division tirelessly worked to ensure that every nook and cranny was cleaned and sanitized.

The cleaning program is part of a broader effort to maintain the temple's cleanliness and upkeep with a focus on providing a conducive environment for devotees to worship and meditate.
