CLEARING UP THE COASTAL BELT AT THE ADDALACHCHENAI AREA TO CONSERVE THE COASTAL ENVIRONMENT

The coastal area in Palamunai is highly polluted due to the discarded wrappers, plastic bottles, and heat of polythene and it is caused to pollute the beautiful coastal area.

According to the guidance of General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division, Major General W L A C Perera RWP RSP USP and under the supervision of Commander 241 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier LSDN Pathirathna RSP USP,00 x 07 Tps of 11 SLNG and 10 civilians were participated for a beach cleaning program at the Palamunai beach to Addalachchenai around the 800 m on 15 June 2024.
