Under the guidance of Commander Security Force - East, General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division and all troops of the 2(V) GR completed the construction of a new house for Mr. GKK Ananda Jayaratne and his family of a resident of No. No321/110, Araliya Mal Mawatha, 5th post, Kandy Road, China Bay, Trincomalee.Colombo Royal College '88 My Buddies' Societyfinancially contributed to this house with the coordination of the General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry DivisionMaj General Anil Peris RSP USP psc and the house was constructed by troops of 2 (v) GR within period of three months.
The house opening ceremony took place on time at the auspicious moment of 07 July 2024 at 1250 hours and Commander of the ArmyLieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu graced the occasion as a Chief Guest. Commander Security Force - East, Major General ShivanthaKulatunga RWP RSP VSV USP psc, and Commander 22 Infantry Division Maj General Anil Peris RSP USP also participated in this occasion.
