STUDENTS OF SUSIRIGAMA PRIMARY SCHOOL RECEIVE SCHOOL ACCESSORIES

Troops of the 23 Infantry Division under Security Forces Headquarters (East) conducted a Community Project to distribute school bags, book packs, and School accessories among the school students of Susirigama Primary School on 29 May 2024 (Wednesday) at the Cultural Centre in Welikanda. under the supervision and guidance of Colonel SN Wijesinghe USP IG, the Commander of 233 Infantry Brigade, and the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division.

Major General SA Kulathunga RWP RSP VSV USP psc, the Commander Security Forces Headquarters (East) graced the occasion as the chief guest. During the events, 134 students in Susirigama Primary School received school exercise book packs, under the patronage of Dr. Thiyagarajah Thawanesan and Dr. Selvaraj Giritharan in collaboration with the “ABAYAM” Foundation.

Cultural dances performed by school children of Susirigama Primary School added glamour to the event. After the event, the Commander Security Forces Headquarters (East), General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division had a few minutes of leisure time with the students of the school. The event was organized by the 9th Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery with the support of Chief Coordinating Civil Affairs Officer of SFHQ (E), Civil Affairs Officers of 23 Inf Div and the 233 Inf Bde.

The troops of the 9th Field Regiment, Staff Offices, Officers, teachers, parents and school student were participated to the event.
