24 Infantry Division Bids Farewell to Outgoing GOC

The 24 Infantry Division troops bade farewell to outgoing Major General W. Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 24 Infantry Division in a formal ceremony held on 15 April 2024 at the Division premises.

The outgoing GOC was greeted in a Guard Turnout at the entrance and was accorded a colourful Guard of Honour. He planted a sapling in the camp premises as a symbol of memory. During the troops address, he expressed his gratitude for the troops for the assistance extended during his tenure.

An All-Ranks tea culminated the day’s proceedings. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks took part in the farewell ceremony.
