Troops of the 5 (V) Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) recently built a new home for a deserving family in Thalgaswewa. The house was officially vested in the beneficiary during a simple ceremony on 09 April 2024.
Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc, the General Officer Commanding of 22 Infantry Division graced the event as the chief guest. Mr. U Anuradha Kothalawala, who sponsored this project, handed over the house key to the family. Additionally, during the ceremony, the donor generously provided dry ration packs to 20 other families in the village.
Senior Officers, Officers, Government Officials, Police Officials, Other Ranks, and local villagers participated in the event.
