SPECIAL LUNCH FOR THE THILAKAVATHIYAR GIRLS HOME IN PARALLEL WITH THE BATTALION DAY OF 7 GW

On the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (East) Major General MKUP Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG, direction of the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General KVNP Premaratne RSP USP psc and close supervision of the Commander 233 Infantry Brigade, Colonel KSP Pothupitiya USP psc IG, troops of 7th Battalion the Gemunu Watch organized a special lunch for the children of Thilakavathiyar girls home at Kadiraveli in Batticaloa District.

The programme was conducted on 16 September 2023 in parallel with the Battalion day of the 7th Battalion the Gemunu Watch. Locally found the food items for the lunch and, provided some resources by the donors of the area for the event. For this programme 25 Children and 10 Numbers of staff was participated.

Civil Affairs Officer, 233 Infantry Brigade, Major MP Hettearachchi RSP SLSR, Quarter Master of the 7th Battalion the Gemunu Watch Captain WAD Wijemanna USP and 02x10 troops joined to make the event a success.
