Headquarters 23 Infantry Division recently celebrated its 26th anniversary with a series of events that showcased the division's commitment to its soldiers and the local community. The celebrations were held on July 23, 2023, under the guidance and leadership of General Officer Commanding Brigadier K V N P Premarathne RSP USP psc.
Headquarters 23 Infantry Division recently demonstrated its commitment to the local community by organizing a distribution program for the children of BCO/KK/Kirimichcholei Tamil mixed school. The program was held on July 20 as part of the division's 26th anniversary celebrations. The distribution program provided packets of lunch and school items to the children, which will help them continue their education and support their growth.
A Bodhi poojawa was held on July 21 at the Headquarters 23 Infantry Division temple to pay tribute to the fallen heroes who died serving in the division. The solemn occasion was held in remembrance of the brave men who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. The event was a fitting tribute to these heroes and a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who serve their country.
On 23 July the day began with an inspection of the Guard turn out for the General Officer Commanding and a symbolic sapling planting ceremony was held in front of office. All ranks lunch was also served to all officers and other ranks working in the Division Headquarter.GOC addressed all officers and other ranks, thanking them for their dedication and hard work which was a great way to show appreciation for their hard work and support.
