NEW 232 INFANTRY BRIGADE COMMANDER BEGINS DUTIES

Colonel K A Pushpakumara RWP RSP USP psc of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment assumed duties as 18 Commander of the 232 Infantry Brigade, amid religious blessings at the Headquarters in Thoppigala – Batticoloa on 31 December 2022.

The newly appointed Commander of the 232 Infantry Brigade of the 23 Infantry Division was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and honored in a Guard Turnout. Afterwards Colonel Asitha Pushpakumara signed a formal document at the auspicious minute and symbolized the official acceptance of new appointment.

An All Rank tea, planting of a sapling and the formal address to the Officers, and Other Ranks culminated the day’s proceedings. Commanding Officers and Brigade staff were present at the occasion.
