GOVERNMENT OFFICERS WITH DISTRICT SECRETARY AND DIVISIONAL SECRETARY FIELD VISIT OF THE MILITARY FARMS

The concept of Organic Green Agriculture Programs which Carried forwarded by the troops of 4th Gamunu Watch and 11 (Volunteer ) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment under the supervision of 231 Infantry Brigade, one of the farms at “Karbala” Ariyampathy area has been visited by the District Secretary - Batticaloa District Mr. k. Karunaharan , Mr. M.A.S Hariharan, Director of Agriculture, Mr. V. Perimparajah, Deputy Director of Agriculture and Mrs. U. Kugendran, Deputy Director Animal Production and Health on15 December 2022.

In the meantime, another farm at “Sippimadu” Unnachchiyarea has been visited by Mr. S Suthakar, Divisional secretary Manmunai - West and Mr. V Perimparajah, Deputy Director of Agriculture on 21st December 2022. All visits were conducted according to the invitation of Brigadier Dilupa Bandara, Commander of the 231 Infantry Brigade at Kallady and the District Coordinating Officer of Green Agriculture Operation Central in Batticaloa District.

Thereafter the field visit of Government officials and they very satisfied about the Organic Green Agriculture Programs which are carried out by Sri Lanka Army and it was praised and evaluated that the operation of these farms run by the Sri Lanka Army are being done very successfully and they said that these farms will be appointed as model farms in the nether future.
