TROOPS OF SF (E) GIFT A NEW HOUSES TO NEEDY FAMILY

On the concept of the Commander, Security Forces (East), Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi, directions of the Commander, Forward Maintenance Area Headquarters - East Major General Chanaka Mettananda and close supervision of the Brigadier Forward Maintenance Area Headquarters – East, Brigadier Iran Lokuketagoda, Troops of 3rd Corps of Engineer Services, 5th Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps, 3rd Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps and 3rd Sri Lanka Electrical & Mechanical Engineers Regiments with together, Army-build a new house for homeless Mr K Sunil at Erigeoya - Habarana.

The programme was conducted on 17 December 2022 in response to the request made by the Commanding Officers of 5 SLAMC from Mr Dhanushka (A Businessman who living in Australia), volunteered to sponsor the entire project and man power assistance provided by troops of 3 CES, 5 SLAMC, 3 SLAOC and 3 SLEME under the supervision of Commanding Officer of 5th Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps.

Accordingly, the new house was opened and beneficiary was received the key from the Chief Guest Brigadier Iran Lokuketagoda, Brigadier of Forward Maintenance Area Headquarters – East.

Furthermore, Lieutenant Colonel Udaya Liyanaarachchi, Senior Staff Officer of Forward Maintenance Area Headquarters – East, Commanding Officers of 3rd Corps of Engineer Services, 5th Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps and 3rd Sri Lanka Electrical & Mechanical Engineers Regiments, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Battalions and several Others Ranks who built the house were present.
