CHIEF OF STAFF OF THE ARMY CONDUCTED THE ADMIN INSPECTION OF SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (EAST)

Major General Channa Weerasuriya Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army arrived at Security Force Headquarters (East) Welikanda to attend the final day of Administrative Inspection on 12 December 2022.

On his arrival, he was warmly received by the Commander Security Force (East), Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi and accorded a drive past by the 15 Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops at the entrance of the Headquarters.

Before commenced the proceedings of the conference, the Chief of Staff of the Army stressed the importance of conducting annual administrative inspection as it would help to overcome all administrative issues of Security Force Headquarters and under command formations. The respective Directors and Staff Officers of different Directorates and Branches tabled their observations and laid down procedures, related for resolution of such issues. The General Officer Commanding of respective Divisions, Commander, Forward Maintenance Area Headquarters (East) together with Directors and Staff Officers of Army Headquarters, Commandant, Combat training School – Ampara, all Brigade Commanders Staff Officers of the Security Force Headquarters (East) took part in the administrative inspection discussions.

Towards the end of the discussions, Commander, Security Forces (East) symbolized the good will by presenting mementos to Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and he made a complimentary note in the Visitors' Book before departure from the Security Force Headquarters (East).
