TROOPS OF THE 23RD BATTALION OF SRI LANKA SINHA REGIMENT COMPLETE THE BATTALION TRAINING SUCCESSFULLY

The 23rd Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment successfully completed battalion training at the Infantry Battalion Training School of 23 Infantry Division at Punani. Under the careful supervision of General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, this collective training was conducted over 48 working days from 05th August 2022 to 22nd October 2022 with the participation of 10 Officers and 382 Other Ranks.

In the meantime , the tropic of final presentation “Battle of Randeniwela” was conducted in the Evening on 21 October 2022 at the Infantry Battalion Training School of 23 Infantry Division at Punani. Commander, Security Forces – East, Major General Priyantha Jayawardena participated in the occasion as the Chief Guest and General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General Shewanth Kulathunge, Brigadier General Staff Security Forces – East, Brigadier Sujeewa Jayasinghe with Senior Officers, Instructor Officers and Commanding Officer of 23rd Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, with Officers of the Battalion and Training School were present at the occasion.

Furthermore, on 22nd October conducted the closing address ceremony and awarding of Certificates was organized at the Battalion Training School Punani with presence of General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, and delivered the closing address speech after awarding certificate for outstanding performers, Brigade Commander of 233Infantry Brigade, Senior Staff Officers, staff officers of 23 Infantry Division, Chief Instructor with Instructors of Battalion Training School and Commanding Officer with Officers and Other Ranks of 23rd SLSR also participated in the closing ceremony.
