EAST TROOPS ORGANIZES A DRY RATION DONATION PROGRAMME

Under the guidelines and supervisions of the Commander Security Forces - East, Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, the troops of the Security Force Headquarters - East, and the 6th Battalion Gajaba Regiment organized a Dry Ration donation programme at the “Cultural” Central at Kungenkulam on Wednesday (26).

Accordingly, 200 dry ration packs worth of Rs 3500/= each were distributed among the families with an inadequate income Villagers of Kungenkulam, Madurankernikulam and Kirimichchiya, under the patronage of Mr. Kushil Gunasekara, the owner of “ Guna Jaya Sathuta Foundation”.

Furthermore, Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, Commander Security Forces - East, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Colonel Kashun Adikari ,Colonel General Staff 23 Division, Colonel Rajive Fernando, Chief Coordinating Civil Affairs Officer, Security Forces - East, Lieutenant Colonel Prabhath Halpage Civil Affairs Officer Security Force - East, Lieutenant Colonel Lalith Edirisinghe, Civil Affairs Officer 233 Infantry Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Janaka Ranaraj Commanding Officer 6th Battalion Gajaba Regiment ,Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks enthusiastically contributed to the events.
