TROOPS OF SF (E) CONDUCTED A COASTAL BELT CLEANUP PROGRAMME

On the concept of the Commander, Security Forces - East Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, directions of the General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division, Major General Wajira Welagedara and close supervision of the Commander 241 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Chandra Abeykoon, troops of the 241 Infantry Brigade and the 18th Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment conducted a coastal belt cleanup program in their respective areas (Akkareipatthu and Kalmunai area) in conjunction with the “73rd Army Anniversary day” on Monday (10).

Furthermore, Commanding Officer 18th Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Dharshana Sirisena, Several Officers and Other Ranks were joined to make the event.
