TROOPS OF SF (E) ORGANIZED A DRY RATION AND ESSENTIAL ITEM DONATION PROGRAMME

On the concept of the Commander, Security Forces - East Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, directions of the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General Shewanth Kulathungeand close supervision of the Commander, 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Dilupa Bandara, troops of 4th Battalion the Gemunu watchRegiment, Organized a dry ration and essential item donation programme at "Fishery Society" hall premises at Unnachchiya, on Monday (10).

In coincident with the “73rd Army anniversary day” Celebration, 40 dry ration packs worth of Rs 4000/= each were distributed among the families with an inadequate income.

Furthermore, Commander, 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Dilupa Bandara, Civil affairs Officer 231 Infantry Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Dammika Weerasinghe, Commanding Officer 4th Battalion the Gemunu Watch Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Menaka Gunarathna with Officers and Other ranks joined to make the event success.
